Zane and Ryu looked up at her, for a second they forgot about her but then smiled.
"Oh hey there Midori, good morning." Ryu smirked,
"The summoning test... it is the test before the graduation test. There's a time in our lives, during the equinox, we of the Saiyuki family dream of a wild beast. This beast or animal comes to us, makes a challegne towards us and on the summoning test, we face that animal. Using our abilities if we defeat the animal, it becomes our faithful servants." Zane answered while closing his book,
"The equinox is next week, before then people will have had their dreams and then face their animals. So seeing Ryu getting all excited I'm sure he's already had the dream?" Ryu laughed all smug like,
"Yeah and even though the animals are always shrouded in shadows you can't see what they are until the test. If you can pass it, you summon the animal by calling the name you have assigned it." Ryu stood up all proud of himself for dreaming of his animal.

Midori listened to there talking about the animal and remembered about it nodding to herself.
"Oh I see...so you two have already dreamed thats great!" Midori said and sat down and opened up a book on her powers and briefly went through it and then all of the other elements.
"You two confident you will be able to pass your test?"

Zane was quiet to that question somewhat disappointed but Ryu of course took the opportunity to brag.
"If you haven't noticed Midori, everyone says we're the most popular members in this family there's no way we can fail. The only ones who fail teh graduation test are the ones who haven't gotten their animals before their coming of age. The graduation test comes to those who turn twenty one, Zane and I will have it next year. So this year we're getting our animals." With that said, lunch passed and the next classes started, Zane went to attend them while Ryu went to go exercise for his class after dinner. They were really hard workers, never slacking.

Midori looked at them both. 'But what if one of them does fail??' She thought to herself and smiled weakly at them. She gazed at Zane curiously wondering why he was so quiet. She bid them good bye when they left she stood and looked around outside.
"Kazuhiko where are you" She asked aloud as she walked looking for him since she only had a meditation class and studying.

The day grew to noon, all was quiet and soon dinner time came around. Outside Kazuhiko stood in the shadows, he saw Midori he could hear her calling to him but still he couldn't enter the main house not if he wanted to get into a fight. So turning he walked down the garden path into the forest, soon coming up to a small hut where he lived at. Away from the others, he was about to enter hearing his stomach grumble. He would make some ramen or something.

Midori sighed heavily and looked far and wide for Kazuhiko.
"So lame.. oh well at least I have normal school tomarrow..." Midori mumbled andn went over to her room deciding that she would skip dinner

Midori walked around and gazed out at the surroundings and then saw the figure of a man walking something clicked inside of her she was certian that it was Kazuhiko. Excitement ran through Midori making her heart race as she quickly went out of the main house building and went through the forest she finally saw a hut and went to the door knocking.

Kazuhiko looked up from his bowl, hearing Midori's voice he stayed quiet in his hut. What was he to do? He couldn't talk to her, he couldn't be seen with her. She'd be treated horribly by everyone, he'd get lip from Ryu and Zane. Then he'd get in a fight. His father wouldn't like that.
"Midori... leave. You're not suppose to be here. I cannot speak to you."

Midori frowned
"What , your talking to me right now " Midori said bitterly as she opened the door not caring as she looked at Kazuhiko with a hurt expression on her face.
"We always' hung out Kazu..." Midori whimpered weakly looking at him
"What happend when I was gone"

Kazuhiko cursed turning from her, he was not allowed to look at such a being. He would surely get in trouble for this,
"They don't talk about it... things have changed while you've been gone. Well for me anyway... things are the same more strict at the main house. Training is far important now, but nevermind please leave Midori. I do not want you to get in trouble for this," he looked at her with dark eyes. Hollow black, empty. His hair pure white even showed in the darkness of the hut.

"I honestly don't care Kazu...You know that I don't care about the main house ..." Midori said looking at him feeling the pit of her stomach tremble with fear his eyes were so cold and blocked. She remembered those eyes being full of life.
"I'm still your friend Kazu" She said looking at him sincerly

He sighed heavily he couldn't do this, she would be better off with the family. The Saiyuki clan had to stick together,
"But you belong there Midori without family you'll have nothing don't give it up for someone like me. For all you know I could be a different person, I'm not the same little boy you knew. I've changed I'm not someone you want to hang out with."

"You are someone I want to hang out...why did you give the blue orchid?" She asked and remembered how Ryu had burned it her face paled. She stood there and walked closer to him looking up at him he was taller and it suprised her by just how much.
"I have no reason to hate you Kazu...and I will still have family and besides you know I am slighty already outcasted for my ability and the fact I am half "

Kazuhilo remembered the flower he turned away blushing,
"Uh... a welcome home present?" He looked back at her as she said she was like him in a sense,
"You may be half Midori but you are more of a Saiyuki then I am... I'm a child born to parents which I don't even resemble. Do I look like a Saiyuki, no one looks like me. They call me a demon child, a being of the devil come to curse this family."
